Bringing Personality to the Studio

Custom Mural for Longreach Media

Creative studios are more than workplaces—they're environments that shape culture, inspire ideas and reflect the personalities of the people within them.

When the team at Longreach Media invited me into their studio, the brief was simple: create a large-scale mural that would inject energy into the space while celebrating the identity of the business and the creative work happening inside its walls.

The Challenge

The studio wanted an artwork that would:

• Create a stronger sense of identity within the space.
• Bring warmth, colour and personality to the environment.
• Reflect the creative and collaborative nature of the Longreach Media team.
• Become a visual centrepiece that employees and visitors would immediately connect with.

The mural also needed to feel distinctly "Longreach" while remaining playful and engaging.

The Creative Approach

I developed a concept centred around a bold typographic treatment of the Longreach Media name, accompanied by a series of custom illustrated characters inspired by the studio's creative culture and storytelling focus.

Spanning approximately four metres wide, the mural was designed to:

• Celebrate the studio's personality and brand identity.
• Create an immersive and inspiring workspace.
• Introduce moments of character and humour through illustration.
• Transform an ordinary wall into a memorable feature of the studio environment.

The combination of typography and bespoke characters creates a piece that feels both branded and personal—an artwork that belongs uniquely to the people who work there.

The Process

As with many mural projects, collaboration was a key part of the process.

Working closely with the team at Longreach Media allowed the artwork to evolve naturally, ensuring the final piece reflected the studio's culture and creative spirit. The welcoming and collaborative atmosphere within the studio became an important source of inspiration throughout the project.

The Outcome

The mural transformed the studio into a more vibrant and expressive environment, creating a space that reflects the creativity and personality of the team behind the brand.

More than simply decorating a wall, the artwork became a visual expression of Longreach Media's identity and a reminder of the importance of creating workspaces that inspire the people who inhabit them every day.
